I'm Joe Meyer, and I'm running for the RTD Board of Directors to bring ambitious problem-solving back to RTD, to make sure our transit system prioritizes and respects its riders - both current and future.
As an aerospace engineer, regular transit rider, and RTD Citizens Advisory Committee member, I bring the technical expertise and rider perspective needed to fix our system.
Denver's biggest challenges - traffic, affordability, downtown activation, air quality - all have a common solution: transit that people actually want to use.
Let's make RTD the first choice for getting around our region, not the last resort, and certainly not the reason to drive.
We Need to Focus on Making Transit Competitive. That Means:
Fast
Optimizing routes, implementing signal priority, and maintaining state-of-good-repair to reduce travel times and get you where you need to go faster.
Frequent
Increasing service frequency around high-density neighborhoods, major employment centers, key services, and popular recreation destinations to increase usability and improve travel plan flexibility.
Reliable
Investing in infrastructure and technology and improving customer communications to ensure on-time performance and consistent service you can count on - because your time is valuable.
Accessible
Providing access for everyone to jobs, education, medical care, and daily needs through useful, reliable, safe, affordable transportation.
